Rodchata, in collaboration with bachateros, will be hosting the very 1st Bachata International Convention in Reno, Nevada: promoting Dominican dance. Performers and teachers from all over the world will join forces to celebrate bachata on the weekend of January 8, 9, 10 and 11 of 2009.
Bachata lovers from everywhere will benefit from Bachata International Convention’s (BIC) celebrations headed by world renown Rodchata.
For 7 years, Rodchata has struggled to promote bachata dance in many of USA’s dance studios and clubs. Bachata music was either hated or ignored, but that was history and this is now.
In collaboration with BB of SalsaReno.com and Jorge Elizondo, Rodchata and BB will be hosting the very first Bachata International Convention in USA. Since starting teaching and promoting bachata in 2001, Rodchata has become the ambassador of bachata in the Bay Area and taught all over the world.
The Reno Bachata International Convention will be featuring bachata greats such as Jorge Elizondo from Texas, Juan I. Ruiz from Sydney, Sarunas and Giedre from Lithuania, Camille Yanantuono from San Diego, Rodchata and Ava Apple from San Francisco, Lee El Gringuito from Washington, DC plus other excellent teachers and performers all over the world.
The event will be held in the fabulous Grand Sierra Resort and Casinos in Reno, Nevada. Dancers of all levels are invited to participate on this exciting event.
